A young horse has been found dead after it was stolen from a paddock in Kent almost two weeks ago.

Kent Police said three horses were stolen overnight on 21-22 November in Hartley, near New Ash Green, after fencing was damaged to get to the animals.

On Monday, two of the animals were located at a rural site off Shamrock Road in Gravesend, but the following day the four-year-old horse that was taken was found dead.

Police say an investigation is ongoing and officers have seized a horse trailer believed to be linked to the thefts.

Patrols also recovered two stolen motorbikes and a suspected stolen quad bike, police said.
