'Lives put in danger' by person cutting car brakes

Lives have been put in danger by a person cutting vehicle brakes on a residential road, police said.

Essex Police has been investigating a spree of incidents between October and February in Gardenia Court, Laindon, near Basildon.

The force urged anyone who saw anything suspicious to report it to officers.

"This kind of damage poses a serious risk to the vehicle owner and to other road users – it could put lives in danger," Det Emma Warrick said.
