Father-of-five dies in crash involving lorry

A man has died following a collision between a car and a lorry in County Fermanagh.

Police say it happened on the Crom Road in Lisnaskea at about 17:30 BST on Wednesday.

Daniel Lavelle, a 40-year-old father-of-five from Donagh, who was driving the car, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the lorry, a 48-year-old man, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

The Crom Road remains closed and motorists are advised to seek an alternative route for your journey.

The Police Service of Northern Ireland are investigating the circumstances of the collision and are appealing for witnesses or anyone who may have captured dash-cam to contact them.
