A man has been left seriously injured after being shot in a targeted attack in Huddersfield, police said.
The victim, aged in his 30s, was hit in the leg and shoulder on Smiths Avenue in Marsh at about 20:00 GMT on Monday, West Yorkshire Police said.
He was found on nearby New Hey Road and taken to hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries, a force spokesperson said.
Police are investigating a further shooting at a similar time on Farriers Street, with the two incidents not thought to be linked.
Three people were shot at in the street during the second shooting, police said, with no injuries reported. Both shootings were described by police as "targeted" attacks.
Det Insp Suzanne Hall said: "Any use of a firearm is something we treat extremely seriously, and we are following up all available lines of enquiry to ensure that those involved are caught and any weapons used are recovered and taken off our streets."
