Sean Ember's family have paid tribute to a "caring, thoughtful and loving" father

A man who was stabbed to death has been described as "thoughtful and loving" by his family.

Sean Ember, 35, was found at a home on Arcaro Road, Andover, Hampshire, on 29 November shortly after 20:40 GMT, and died at the scene.

In a tribute, his family said: "His intelligence, sense of humour and charm made him the endearing character that meant so much to everyone."

A 41-year-old man, from Southampton, who was arrested on suspicion of murder remains in custody.

In the statement, released by Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary, his family added:

"Sean was a caring, thoughtful and loving person.

"A loved son, father, brother, uncle, cousin and a friend to so many...

"Sean will be deeply missed by all of those whose hearts he touched."

The force said his family was receiving support from specialist officers.
