Forecast hot weather prompts safety warning

Islanders are being urged to take care in expected hot weather at the weekend.
Temperatures are forecast to reach 24C on Saturday before rising to a maximum of 32C on Sunday, Jersey Met, external said.
The Government of Jersey said: "Extreme heat can cause heat exhaustion, heatstroke and dehydration.
"Older people and children are particularly at risk."
Officials said islanders should follow seven steps to say cool - including avoiding going outside during the hottest part of the day, drinking plenty of water and leaving strenuous activities until later cooler times of day.
How can you stay safe in the sun?
The Government of Jersey advises islanders to:
Avoid going outside during the hottest time of day from 11:00 to 15:00 BST
Leave strenuous activities for later on in the day when it is cooler
Take cold baths and showers
Drink plenty of water and avoid coffee and alcohol
Keep your home cool by closing curtains, opening windows and using fans
Wear a hat and loose light clothing, try to stay in the shade and carry water with you
Wear sun cream when going outside
