Chocolate thief sentenced for stealing Easter eggs

A thief who stole chocolate Easter eggs worth £130 has been sentenced by magistrates.

Steven Scaum swiped the Reese's eggs from Tesco Express in Blackfield, near Southampton, on 7 January.

The 33-year-old, of no fixed address, was arrested and charged by police soon after.

During a hearing at Southampton Magistrates' Court, Scaum pleaded guilty to theft and was handed a 12-month conditional discharge.
