Trustee of community venue charged with assault

The chair of a theatre and community hub has been charged with assault.

Sam Margrave, 42, of Leyland Road, Nuneaton, was alleged to have assaulted a man at Bedworth Civic Hall on 20 December, Warwickshire Police said.

The 42-year-old is the chair of the community group, the Bedworth Civic Hall Charitable Incorporated Organisation, which runs the entertainment venue.

The force added that he was charged by postal requisition and said it was not yet known when he would appear in court.
