A fish and chip shop manager says his business is still being negatively affected months after landslips in Kent.

In January, a landslip left trees blocking the Road of Remembrance in Folkestone, Kent, with more landslips occurring in February and March.

Kent County Council said the Road of Remembrance would be closed until further notice to protect the safety of the public.

Murat Karakartal manager of local Harbour Fish Bar, on Lower Sandgate Road said he was missing out on trade because of the road closure.

Mr Karakartal told BBC Radio Kent the closure on Remembrance Road was impacting the business.

"The road is closed and nobody is coming down there."

He said he would be "really happy" if the road could re-open.

A spokesperson for Kent County Council (KCC) said it was working with embankment stabilisation specialists to assess the highway damage on the road.

"This work will inform the clearance process and will look at how to reduce the risk of future landslips," they explained.

Folkestone and Hythe Council said a survey it commissioned to assess the area had been completed and it was appointing landslip engineers to analyse the data.
