An artist said he had a "pinch me" moment when he saw his artwork dedicated to the late DJ Avicii displayed in a museum in Sweden.

Wilf Elliot, from Clacton-on-Sea, in Essex, was inspired to create a painting of the Swedish DJ after he visited the Avicii Experience in Stockholm.

Mr Elliot flew out on Sunday to unveil the painting after the museum agreed to display it.

He said: ""It is so cool, I am well proud of it."

Mr Elliot is a tattoo artist by trade but said he started painting during lockdown and became passionate about creating artwork.

The fan said he has been listening to Avicii's music for a few years and has a tattoo of the late artist on his leg.

Avicii died aged 28 in 2018 and since then his father, Klas Bergling, has started a charity to raise awareness about mental health.

He said Mr Bergling's charity work had also inspired him to create the piece of artwork.
