Two men seriously injured in street assault

Two men have been seriously injured in an attack on a street, police have said.
Greater Manchester Police said the men, aged 20 and 44, were assaulted on Delamere Road in Rochdale at about 14:00 BST on Monday.
The force said the younger man was believed have suffered "life-threatening" injuries and both men were being treated in hospital.
It said a 22-year-old man had been arrested on suspicion of assault and remained in custody.
