A digital guide to the Manx Museum will help to share stories from its collections with a worldwide audience, a curator for art and social history has said.
Highlights from the recently revamped national art gallery and TT Gallery have been added on the free Bloomberg Connects app.
They have been featured alongside pieces from about 350 other museums, galleries and cultural spaces.
Katie King from Manx National Heritage (MNH) said the organisation was "honoured" to join the "prestigious list of cultural institutions".
Users can take virtual tours of places such as the Anne Frank House in Amsterdam, the Museum of Modern Art in New York and Manchester Art Gallery.
MNH was invited by Art UK and Bloomberg Connects to have its collections, which showcase a range of pieces such as a recently discovered 4,000-year-old jet necklace and a portrait painted by artist Hugo Dachinger while interned at a camp in Ramsey in 1940, added to the app.
Ms King said the guide also shared audio commentaries from the collections team about artworks currently on display and how they were cared for.
It has allowed the team to reveal "more fascinating facts about key objects" from the archaeology, natural history and social history galleries, "as well as objects from our stored collections”, she said.
The organisation had enjoyed using "the innovative features to interpret our galleries in a new way, which will also enable us to share stories from our collections to a worldwide audience", she added.
