Plans to build more than 200 homes in Telford are set to be submitted later this year.

Telford and Wrekin Council shared proposals for a development of up to 250 homes on greenfield land to the west of Lawley during a recent two-week public consultation.

The scheme would consist of two, three and four-bedroom homes with 25% of those being classed as affordable.

A cycling and pedestrian route would be created on part of the northern section of Arleston Lane and the existing woodland would be retained as part of a planned green corridor.

There would also be 635 private and 97 on-street car parking spaces, as well as a parking area close to the junction of Arleston Lane, Pepper Mill and Glendale to help ease congestion.

Residents viewed the plans at Lawley Community hub and were able to leave comments in person and online.

A Telford and Wrekin Council spokesperson said responses would be reviewed and collated to support an outline planning application, which will be submitted in the autumn.
