Pair arrested in Austria over DPD driver murder

Two men have been arrested on suspicion of murdering a delivery driver who was beaten to death in an ambush last year.
Aurman Singh, 23, suffered serious head injuries when he was struck with an axe and several other weapons in Shrewsbury in August.
In March, five men were convicted of killing him after a five-week trial.
West Mercia Police said two others, aged 23 and 25, were arrested in Austria on Monday on suspicion of murder.
They are currently in police custody.
Mr Singh was reportedly attacked by eight men in broad daylight in Shrewsbury on 21 August as he delivered parcels on Berwick Avenue, on Coton Hill.
Police said the motive remained unclear, but added that it was not a robbery.
Four men found guilty of murder were jailed for at least 28 years each in April.
A fifth, who was cleared of murder but convicted of manslaughter, was sentenced to 10 years in prison.
Prosecutors in the trial said Mr Singh was struck in the head three times with an axe, fracturing his skull with one blow penetrating his brain.
He was also attacked with a golf club, a hockey stick and finally stabbed with a knife.
Speaking at the time of the trial, police said four other men in a second car were believed to be at large.
Speaking on Monday, senior investigating officer Det Ch Insp Mark Bellamy said: "These arrests show our commitment to getting justice for Aurman's family, and how we have continued to work tirelessly to apprehend those involved in his death, and I’m grateful for the assistance of the Austrian authorities."
