Overhead wire damage delays trains for 15 hours

Train services were disrupted for about 15 hours when overhead wires were damaged.

Network Rail said Grand Central, Great Northern, Hull Trains, LNER, Lumo and Thameslink services between Peterborough and Stevenage were delayed.

It started at 15:27 GMT on Monday and was resolved by 06:04, it said.

Wires were damaged between Sandy and Biggleswade.
