Detectives are continuing to search for the killer of a 17-year-old boy who was attacked.
A murder investigation has been launched after Harleigh Hepworth, from Staffordshire, was fatally stabbed in Wolverhampton's West Park on Thursday.
West Midlands Police has said inquiries were continuing, with forensic officers still on the scene and increased patrols in the area.
The force added on Saturday that no arrests had been made and it continued to appeal for information.
The youngster was found by paramedics arrived at the scene who then called the police.
He was in a critical condition and declared dead at the location, which is popular with dog walkers, a short time later.
Ch Supt Rich Fisher said another young life had tragically been taken by knife crime.
"We are keeping Harleigh's family updated with this fast-moving investigation and our thoughts are with them at this devastating time," he said.
"We would like to thank the people of Wolverhampton, and particularly those in this area of West Park, who have been coming forward with information following this awful incident.
"And we would ask anyone who's yet to speak to us, but believes they can help, to contact us."
A cordon around the park has now been lifted.
