A second person has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a man was found dead at his home in a "targeted attack", police said.

Greater Manchester Police said a man in his 50s was found unresponsive at an address on Edington in Lower Falinge, Rochdale, at about 22:50 BST on Monday.

He was later pronounced dead by emergency services and police have now arrested a man, also in his 50s, on suspicion of murder.

A woman in her 40s who was arrested on suspicion of murder on Tuesday has since been released on police bail.

Police said while they are still working on the circumstances surrounding the death, they believe this was a targeted attack.

Det Ch Insp Andy Naismith said: "Investigations are continuing into the sad death of this man in his 50s, we have been in constant contact with his family and kept them up to speed on developments."

He urged anyone with any information to get in touch with the force or to call Crimestoppers anonymously.
