Crews attend fire at home in Bath

Avon Fire and Rescue was called to the fire in Oak Avenue, Southdown earlier

Emergency crews are at the scene of a fire at a home in Bath.

Avon Fire and Rescue was called to reports of smoke coming from a property in Oak Avenue, in Southdown at about 07:40 BST.

Firefighters found a fire on the ground floor and used two high pressure hose reels to put it out.

The service said no-one was missing and there were no known injuries. A positive pressure ventilation fan was then used to clear the smoke and the fire service remains at the scene as a precaution.
