A head teacher has appeared in court to face more allegations of child sexual abuse.

Neil Foden, 66, was already charged with three offences, including sexual activity with a girl aged 13 to 15 and sexual communication with a child.

He has now been charged with another six offences, involving individuals aged between 12 and 16.

He will appear at Mold Crown Court on 5 January in relation to all nine charges.

Mr Foden, from Old Colwyn, Conwy county, is accused of four charges of sexual touching and a charge of sexual activity with a girl aged 16 without consent, and a further related charge.

He appeared at the short hearing at Caernarfon Magistrates' Court via video link from Berwyn Prison in Wrexham.

Mr Foden spoke only to confirm his name, age and address, but no pleas were entered.

Magistrates accepted a request by the prosecution that Mr Foden should remain in custody and there was no application for bail.

No plea was entered.
