Arrest made over cyclist's crash-death

A man has been arrested after a cyclist died in a collision in Wiltshire.

A Peugeot Boxer van and a cyclist were involved in a crash on the A4 between Avebury and Calne on Sunday at about 19:55 BST.

The cyclist, who was a man in his 30s, died at the scene, Wiltshire Police said.

The driver, a man in his 60s, has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving.

He has been released under investigation while police enquiries continue.

The cyclist's next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers.

"Our thoughts are with them at this sad time," Wiltshire Police said.
