A man has been charged after thousands of pounds were stolen from elderly victims in the Black Country.
Cornel Birzoi, 53, from Whitmore Reans in Wolverhampton, is charged with offences of fraud by false representation and theft from a motor vehicle.
It comes after a 90-year-old man had £3,000 taken from his car in Stone Street, Dudley, on 20 October, and a 76-year-old man had his card stolen and then used after visiting a Wolverhampton bank last year.
Mr Birzoi will appear before Wolverhampton Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
The 53-year-old was arrested on Monday afternoon after police responded to a call from a member of the public who believed they had seen a man matching the force's description in a bank.
