Man, 71, dies in hospital after two-car crash

A 71-year-old man has died in hospital after being involved in a crash in Sheffield.

The man was driving a grey Skoda Superb when it collided with a white Suzuki Swift at the junction of Forest Close and Middlewood Road North in Oughtibridge at about 14:40 GMT on Saturday.

South Yorkshire Police said he hade been treated by the ambulance service at the scene but later died in hospital. His family have been informed and are being supported by officers.

Anyone who witnessed the crash or who may have dashcam footage of what happened is asked to come forward.
