Land earmarked for new Nando's is put up for sale
- Published
Land opposite a football stadium that is home to a Wagamama restaurant and a vacant retail unit has been put up for sale for £3.65m.
The 10,685 sq ft site is part of Sixfields Retail Park in Northampton.
According to the listing by estate agents Savills, chicken restaurant Nando's has started leasing the empty unit after it was vacated by Chiquito.
It added that trading at both Wagamama and the proposed Nando's would remain "unaffected" by the sale.
The site is opposite Northampton Town Football Club, off Walter Tull Way.
A Nando's spokesperson said: "We are looking to open later this year and will be able to share more details soon".
Wagamama was contacted for comment.
