Multiple crews tackle gorse fires

Members of the public have been urged to stay away from the area

Firefighters are tackling gorse fires with members of the public being advised to keep away from the area for their own safety.
Crews from Mullion, Helston and St Keverne arrived on the scene near Kynance Cove at about 21:00 BST on Tuesday to tackle 200m (656ft) of high gorse, Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service (CFRS) said.
On Wednesday morning at 06:40, a further wildfire estimated at about 20m (66ft) in size was reported in the area and crews remain on the scene.
CFRS said crews are are "allowing it to burn to a natural fire break and are monitoring the area".
Local residents and visitors should keep doors and windows closed if they are being affected by smoke, the service said.
