Drivers frustrated by town roadwork delays

Motorists say roadworks in a Somerset town are causing "mayhem and gridlock".
Emergency repairs after a gas leak are being carried out in Radstock at the same time as planned council work on a pedestrian crossing.
Residents have expressed their frustration on social media, saying they have missed appointments because of the delays.
Bath and North East Somerset Council (BANES) has apologised and is advising people to plan their journeys if travelling through the town.
Local resident Angela Barnes said the disruption had been "terrible".
"I have heard carers have missed appointments because of the traffic," she added.
A road closure is in place on the A362 Frome Road and temporary signals have been set-up on the A367 roundabout to allow Wales & West Utilities to carry out repairs required after a gas leak.
BANES is currently replacing a pedestrian crossing on Radstock Road, with temporary traffic lights also in place along that section.
Councillor Manda Rigby, cabinet member for transport, said: “The gas leak repairs on Wells Road are essential safety works that could not be foreseen.
"This has presented us with a complex and disruptive traffic management layout, and we apologise for the inconvenience it is causing".
The council said Wales & West Utilities is aware of the need to finish the repairs as quickly as possible and it hopes to re-open the roads by the weekend.
The changes to the pedestrian crossing are expected to be complete by the beginning of February.
