Parents have expressed anger after their school provided a bouncy castle reward for children with 100% attendance records.

Lanesend Primary School in Cowes, Isle of Wight, did not allow several other pupils to take part in Thursday's end-of-year treat.

Some families said the excluded children were being "abused" and "emotionally damaged" by the school.

However, in an email to parents, executive principal Alex Augustus said the reward was "never designed to punish or discriminate".

Owner Sally Newport said the increased cost of living had had a significant impact on the café's trade.

Part of the cliffs at Seatown, Dorset, collapsed on to the beach overnight, with debris continuing to fall on Monday morning.

The aftermath was captured on camera by coast guide Chris Gasson who described it as "huge" and urged visitors to give it a "wide berth".

The National Coastwatch Institution (NCI) at Lyme Bay urged people to stay away from the cliffs.

Thousands of pounds have been raised to fund a statue of Windsor's "beloved" cat.

Dexter roamed around the Berkshire town for years, with his adventures documented on social media.

The feline favourite recently died when he was hit by a car, and since then there has been an outpouring of support online with more than £15,000 raised to help the town remember him.

His owner Kirsty Jarvis said he was a "special part of the community".
