A book of remembrance for Nottingham's official Robin Hood, Tim Pollard, will be passed on to his family.

The actor's death was announced on his Facebook page on 28 June.

Mr Pollard was well known for representing the legendary outlaw around Nottinghamshire and was employed by Nottingham City Council to appear at events.

Following his funeral in August, a book in which members of the public could share their memories of Mr Pollard was placed at Nottingham Castle's visitor centre.

The book will remain at the centre until Sunday.

A Facebook post shared by the Nottingham Castle page said: "We will be sharing it with the family following then, so they can enjoy memories for the future."

In an earlier tribute to Mr Pollard, the city council said he was "emblematic" of Nottingham in his role as Robin Hood.

"But most of all, a lovely bloke with a big heart and a smile to match who will be hugely missed," the authority said.

Mr Pollard's wife Sally, who who took on the role of Robin's true love Maid Marian, died in 2017 after being diagnosed with breast cancer two years earlier.
