An eight-month-old baby was taken to hospital after a crash in Nottingham.
Nottinghamshire Police said the crash, involving a Volkswagen Scirocco and a Mercedes, happened on the southbound carriageway of the A52 Clifton Boulevard, opposite the Showcase Cinema, at 12:25 GMT on Sunday.
The baby, who was inside the Volkswagen, was taken to hospital by family members before police arrived and was found not to have suffered any significant injury, the force added.
A 20-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of dangerous driving, failing to provide specimen for analysis and driving without insurance.
The man has since been released on bail pending further investigation.
Police said the two drivers were treated for shock by paramedics but were otherwise uninjured.
PC Josh Godfrey said: "This was a serious incident and we are currently working to understand what happened."
He appealed for anyone who saw the crash, or who has dashcam footage, to get in touch.
