Technical issue with ferry disrupts sailings
- Published
A "small technical issue" with an Isle of Man ferry has resulted in some disruption to sailings.
The Steam Packet Company confirmed the overnight trip from Heysham was delayed after a problem on the Manxman was detected by the engineering team.
The issue had now been rectified, it said.
A spokesman said there has been a knock-on effect to today's sailings, with the 14:15 GMT journey from Heysham pushed back to 15:30.
The spokesman said all passengers affected had been notified and a replacement coach service had been made available for those heading on to Lancaster train station.
He said: "We will endeavour to have the vessel back on our normal schedule as soon as possible."
