A shot was fired through the window of a house while a woman slept in Limavady early on Monday morning.
She said she heard a loud bang at about 02:50 BST.
She was upstairs in her house on Josephine Avenue at the time, while another person was in a neighbouring bedroom.
Police said it is believed the shot was fired into the living room, causing damage to the window, but no one was injured.
The police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.
