Reform UK has won a by-election in Doncaster triggered by the resignation of one of its councillors just two months after being elected.
Isaiah-John Reasbeck will replace Sam Booth as representative for the Bentley Ward.
Reasbeck received 1,062 votes in Thursday's vote, with Labour's Matt Jones coming second with 912 votes.
Speaking after his victory, he said: "I'm very happy. Closer than I would have liked, but it's a good result in the end."
He told the Local Democracy Reporting Service: "[I'm] very, very tired and relieved that it's over and it's time to crack on with the job of representing the people of Bentley.
"I think we put in about 70-100 hours door-knocking, leafleting, throughout the last month. We have talked to a lot of people who were happy to see us."
He will represent the ward alongside Reform UK's Rebecca Booth and Labour's James Church.
Mr Booth resigned from his role in July citing "personal reasons".
Reform now hold 36 seats on the council, while Labour have 11 - including Mayor Ros Jones - and the Conservatives have two.
Mark Broadhurst is currently sitting as an independent councillor having had the Reform whip withdrawn in June over "unacceptable" posts he had made to social media.
