Detectives have appealed for CCTV and dashcam footage of a car used in a fire attack on shops in Inverness.

Police said the dark grey Skoda Octavia was deliberately reversed into units at Fairways Business Park and set alight just before midnight on Saturday. A man wearing a balaclava was seen running from the scene.

The premises of four businesses were destroyed.

Police Scotland has sought footage on the nearby Sir Walter Scott Drive and from Druid Temple, a housing estate close to the business park.

Det Insp Caroline MacKay said it was possible the car was captured on CCTV and dashcams between 23:30 and midnight on Saturday.

Appealing for information, external, she said: "There may be images which could prove vital to our investigation.

"If you saw anything, or anyone, acting suspiciously then please do get in touch with us."
