Work to upgrade facilities at a park in Glossop is due to begin next week.
The project at Manor Park, designed for people aged 14 and over, will include improvements to a space for sports such as basketball and netball, an upgraded five-a-side area, and more seating.
High Peak Borough Council said the aim of the improvements was to encourage teenagers and adults to be more active.
Damien Greenhalgh, deputy leader of the council, said: "With a £330,000 investment, we're making a huge step forward in improving the facilities available."
A cafe is also set to form part of the improvement programme, and the opportunity to run the facility will be advertised by the council following the retirement of the previous tenant, the authority added.
Greenhalgh said: "We've listened carefully to the feedback from local people, and I'm pleased to say we've retained the option for playing informal tennis within the upgraded 5-a-side area, alongside space for football and other sports.
"This means the facilities will be more versatile and appealing to a wider range of park users."
