A fire has swept through a house in a Hampshire village causing its roof to collapse.
More than 50 firefighters were sent to the home on Mill Lane, Wherwell, after the fire broke out on Saturday at about 16:45 BST, Hampshire & Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service said.
Crews remain at the scene near the banks of the River Test, damping down after working overnight to deal with hotspots and protect nearby thatched homes in the village from potential spread.
People living nearby were urged to keep their windows and doors closed overnight as a precaution.

The blaze at the village home caused a significant amount of smoke in the area
