Two Camberley car parks scoop major awards

Main Square car park has won two awards

Two car parks in Camberley, Surrey, have won awards for their accessibility and safety.

Main Square car park has been given both the Park Access award and the Park Mark award.

Knoll Road car park has also picked up a Park Access award.

The Park Access scheme is run by the British Parking Association, while Park Mark is a police crime prevention initiative.

Alan Ashbery, deputy leader at Surrey Heath Borough Council, said: "Since adopting our new Parking Strategy in 2023, which highlighted the need for investment in our car parks, the Parking Services team has worked tirelessly to improve car parks across the borough.

"I'm delighted these efforts have been recognised. These accreditations reflect our commitment to creating safe and inclusive spaces for all users."
