Man appears in court charged with murder of woman

A man has appeared in court charged with the murder of a young mother in Crawley.

Stephanie Marie was found in Station Way on Sunday morning. She was treated by paramedics but confirmed dead at the scene.

Jason Pascal Flore, 26, appeared at Lewes Crown Court on Wednesday and he has been remanded in custody.

He will next appear in court in November and a trial has been provisionally listed for February 2025.

In a statement, her family said "We are devastated that her young life has been ended in this way. She had her whole life ahead of her."
