A teenage boy has been charged with manslaughter following the death of an 82-year-old man outside a parade of shops more than a year ago.
Thames Valley Police said Giovanni Cecaro, from Slough, was attacked outside shops on Stoke Road in the Berkshire town at the junction with Elliman Avenue on 24 September 2024.
He died in hospital a few days later.
The force said the 17-year-old boy, also from Slough, has been released on conditional bail to appear at Reading Youth Court on 12 November.
Another teenager arrested at the time has since been released on bail with no further action to be taken, the force added.
