Four people were seriously injured after a car and seven cyclists collided.

Emergency services were called to Boxworth Road, Cambridgeshire, at 19:00 BST on Thursday.

Police said a blue Renault Clio, that was on Connington Road, was involved in a crash with cyclists travelling towards Boxworth.

PC Ben Patten said officers wanted to speak with anyone who had information about the "nasty crash".

The cyclists with serious injuries were taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge.

The driver of the car, a man in his 50s from Fenstanton, Cambridgeshire, remained at the scene and assisted police with inquiries.

PC Patten said: “This was a nasty crash that has left four cyclists with serious injuries, so I am appealing for any information or dashcam footage of it to help with the investigation.”
