A motorway service station in South Yorkshire was evacuated after a chemical substance leaked from a lorry.

South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said several crews were in attendance at Doncaster North Services at junction five of the M18 on Thursday morning.

The incident prompted the evacuation of the services at about11:30 BST and a cordon was put in place.

No further details of the substance involved in the leak were given, but the fire service later said crews were "decanting the remainder of the chemical safely".
