A street in Nottingham city centre has been taped off following reports of a disorder.

Police said officers were called to Exchange Walk, off Old Market Square, at about 04:35 BST on Saturday.

The force said a group of people were involved in an "altercation" but that nobody was believed to have been seriously injured.

Anyone with information has been urged to contact the force.

A force spokesperson said: "An investigation is currently underway to establish exactly what happened during the incident and who was involved."
