Further criminal charges have been brought against a man jailed for murdering his pregnant wife more than 25 years ago.

Debbie Griggs was reported missing from her home in Deal, Kent, in 1999 before her remains were found in Dorset in 2022.

Her husband Andrew Griggs was found guilty of murder and jailed for life in 2019 following a cold case review.

The discovery of Ms Griggs' remains has resulted in Griggs, 62, being further charged with perverting the course of justice and obstructing a coroner in the execution of their duty, Kent Police said.

He is due to appear at Medway Magistrates' Court next month.
