A motorcyclist has died after his bike was involved in a crash with a pick-up truck towing a trailer on a country road.

The collision happened on the B1222 between the villages of Stillingfleet and Cawood at about 07:40 BST on Sunday.

The motorcyclist, a man in his 60s, suffered fatal injuries, North Yorkshire Police said.

Officers have appealed for anyone who witnessed the crash to contact them and are also trying to identify the driver of a red hatchback vehicle which they believe was in the area at the time.
