New train timetable in operation until December

All services between Dorking and London Waterloo will depart Dorking two minutes earlier than usual under the new timetable

Several train services across Surrey will depart between one and five minutes earlier than usual under a new South Western Railway (SWR) timetable.
The autumn timetable, in place until 13 December, has been created to give trains more time to accelerate and brake as leaves fall on the tracks, the railway firm said.
SWR is also making changes to weekday services at Kempton Park, Upper Halliford and West Byfleet following a poor performance last year.
Elsewhere, reduced services between London Waterloo and Exeter St Davids will remain in place, as will longer journey times between London Waterloo, Yeovil Junction and Exeter St Davids.
SWR said it had chosen to remove stops at Kempton Park and Upper Halliford on weekdays to improve performance on the Shepperton branch line and in the Wimbledon area.
The same approach has been taken at West Byfleet to improve performance in Surbiton.
The railway firm said these stations had been chosen due to their low customer number outside of peak hours, and their proximity to other stations.
