Changes to harbour services in Alderney are to come into force later this month, at the end of the summer season.

Officials said the harbour office would be closed at weekends from 29 September, while the Friday to Sunday water taxi would stop operating from 20:00 BST.

The dinghy and passenger landing pontoons would be removed in stages throughout September and October, they said.

Boat owners were advised to remove their tenders before the pontoon was lifted.
