Two arrested after man found with injuries in flat

A man and a woman have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a man was found with "significant" injuries at a flat in East Sussex.

Sussex Police said it responded to a report of an assault at the flat in Rymill Road, St Leonards at about 17:40 GMT on Monday.

A local man in his 40s was taken to hospital where he remains in a stable condition.

The force said it was treating it as an isolated incident with all people involved believed to have known one another.

Police are not currently looking for anyone else.
