A barn owl that escaped from Dudley Zoo has been found.

Echo, who flew from the castle courtyard last week during a birds of prey display, was found in Silver Jubilee Park in Coseley on Sunday.

The zoo posted thanked the public for their help after thousands of people shared the story of Echo's departure online.

It said the team retrieved her from the park following a positive sighting from a member of the public.

Barn owls have a distinctive heart-shaped white face, white chest and a mottled grey and golden back and wings.

The zoo wrote: "A huge thank you to the thousands of you who shared her story over the last few days and kept your eyes peeled for our lovely owl - we couldn't have done it without your help."
