Wolverhampton Literature Festival has announced the full programme for its 2025 event.

The ninth annual festival will run from 31 January to 2 February at venues across the city.

Chris Burden, the council's cabinet member for city development, jobs and skills, said it would be "a weekend of creativity, discovery, and connection".

Comedian and actor Al Murray will be among those appearing on the first day when he presents his book Arnhem: Black Tuesday at the city's art gallery, exploring the famous World War Two battle.

Meanwhile, former drummer with The Jam, Rick Buckler, will be at the Robin 2 sharing stories from his musical career.

On 1 February, Nigerian author Abi Daré will be at the art gallery discussing her second novel And So I Roar. She will be followed by journalist and presenter Ashley John-Baptiste, telling his story of growing up in the British care system.

The final day of the festival includes crime author Mark Billingham discussing his new book, while comedian Shappi Khorsandi presents her show Scatter Brain, a reflection on living with ADHD.
