A “much loved festival” has been confirmed to return in May 2025 after a year break.
Neighbourhood Weekender in Warrington has been given the go-ahead by festival organisers for the 24-25 May next year at Victoria Park.
Attended by tens of thousands of people every year, previous performers include Noel Gallagher, Lewis Capaldi, the Courteeners and Pulp.
Councillor Tony Higgins from Warrington Borough Council said: “The festival has become a real highlight for music fans across Warrington, the wider region and beyond.
“It brings tens of thousands of people to our town, producing an estimated £2 million net economic value and showcasing Warrington as a vibrant and culturally rich destination.”
Since 2018, he said the festival had “put Warrington on the music map".
Further details, including the event's line up are yet to be announced.
