People in Jersey will be able to visit a National Trust house for free to mark 12 years since it opened to the public.

Islanders will be able to visit 16 New Street, the Georgian House in St Helier on Saturday to see a new immersive audio-visual installation called Layers of Time.

The house was gifted to the National Trust in 2003 and had previously been neglected for a period of 20 years.

Staff said the installation pays tribute to the people who were involved in the building's restoration after work began in 2004 to restore the historic town house.

The installation is supported by the Jersey Community Foundation with funds from the Channel Islands Lottery.
