"Beautiful sunrise taken from The Mound," says Scott MacKellar in Edinburgh.

"My husband and I had the absolute privilege of visiting Scotland for the first time," says Emily Wildman, from Pennsylvania. "I tried to capture moments of awe with my camera. We absolutely adored Scotland and the people there." This shot was in the Loch Ba area.

"Looking east towards Mormond Hill," says Charlie Scott of this beautiful morning sky in Aberdeenshire.

"A female hen harrier hunting in a cut barley field at Stronsay, Orkney," says Bill Hodgson.

Quiet reflection: "I enjoyed a peaceful moment in St Andrew's Cathedral, whilst waiting for my husband," says Libby Dalton, from Taynuilt. "The morning sunlight showed the colours of the stained glass windows in beautiful detail and created a wonderful ambience."

"What an amazing sunrise to witness," says Anthony Drummond. "I took this picture looking out from Anstruther to the offshore wind farm on the Firth of Forth."

"This picture was taken at the Fairy Glen falls in Rosemarkie," says Saul Lavery. "Going away from the other logs covered in coins, I found this one, it's off to the side and has one lonely coin stuck in it. I loved the detail you get of the coin with the falls in the background."

Legging it: "The newest arrival at Edinburgh Zoo, taking shelter from the rain," says Joanne Hynd of this Chilean flamingo chick.

"Currently I'm working in Aberdeen and immediately fell head over heels with Scotland's beauty and harmony," says Tengku Hafiz. "This is a picture I took from Aberdeen beach on a stroll, sightseeing."

Pitch perfect: "Here is the sunset sky over McDiarmid park, pre St.Johnstone v Dunfermline game," says Neil Gray.

Bird call: "This coal tit appears to ask 'can you get the old Twitter on that antique," says Bob Grant of Inverness, maybe for a bird-related tweet.

"I walked into the community garden in South Queensferry to take a photo of the mural depicting all the important features of this small town," says Sally Wright. "I was treated to a sunburst."

"This sparrowhawk wasn't afraid of the scarecrow," says Janice Whyte, in Kirkintilloch.

"The amazing sunset at Holy Loch," says Chris Bowen. "I have lived near where this was taken for nearly five years, and this was one of the best sunsets I have seen."

"Here is a picture of a 10-day-old puppy, nicknamed Red," says Neil Pearson in Edinburgh. "Her mum is my five-year-old black lab - Bru gave birth to a litter of nine healthy pups."

"This is a photo of a baby Highland cow taken in Arran by my 11-year-old son Fraser," says Angela Reid.
